Businesses often seek to maintain their own brand identity while interacting with clients. Due to this demand, we have implemented a new and exciting white-labelling solution.

This application allows our customers to maintain their own brand while liaising with their signatories via SignatureSense.

A white-labelled SignatureSense account will present your logo and colour scheme on our portal and any emails sent by the service.

To trial this service simply send an email request with a link to your website to support@signaturesense.com. We will re-brand your account for you within the working day.

New tariffs make SignatureSense accessible to all

We have implemented an exciting new pricing structure that makes SignatureSense accessible to even more organisations. By introducing a tiered proposition, we can cater for a wider spectrum of business needs; from those with less frequent contracting requirements, through to those who exchange contracts daily.

The good news is our service has got more affordable, making it even easier for you to realise a return on investment. We have also kept our plans flexible so they can grow and evolve with your business:

  • No commitment beyond the current month
  • Upgrade or downgrade your plan as often as you like
  • Add users with no need to upgrade to the next plan
  • Still no need for signatories to have a SignatureSense account

SignatureSense Appeals to your Customers

It is only a matter of time before the majority of contracts are signed online, and SignatureSense is proud to be part of this revolution.

We have been canvassing the opinion of typical contract recipients and are confident that there is a significant demand from your customers to make documents easier to sign, store and retrieve. Early adopters of an online system therefore stand to gain a competitive advantage in their industry. Here is a flavour of the feedback we received:

Accountant Scott Harrower, could see the appeal, saying “When we were renewing the contract on our shared house in Clapham it was a nightmare trying to get all 4 of us to sign. I think one of the housemates was on holiday so that held things up. Then having got 3 of us to sign, we ended up having to get another copy sent through as someone spilt coffee all over the first. Had it been online it would definitely have been far easier…”

Tip #2: Labelling Your Documents

Here’s an explanation of a SignatureSense feature that some users love and others are yet to find…..  ’Document Labelling’.

In a conventional paper-based world a company may store their signed contracts sorted alphabetically by recipient name.  But what if you want to store them in a project folder?  Or with other documents of a particular type (e.g. all NDAs together)?  Basically, with paper you are limited to one filing system.

In SignatureSense the concept of ‘Labels’ makes organising and retrieving documents a breeze.  You can create labels to indicate any aspect of a document and multiple labels can be applied to each one.

Example labels could include:

  • Project labels  (Project 1234; Project 1235)
  • Document types labels (NDA, LoE, Employment Contract)
  • Department Labels (Marketing, New Business, Support)

Of course, labels cannot be seen by external signatories.  Only your staff users can search for documents using your labels.

Use the “Labels” link near the top right of SignatureSense to view your labels and the related documents.  To apply a label to a document – simply find the document and follow the ‘apply labels’ link.

Let us know how you get on with our labelling feature!

A Beginner’s Guide to API

SignatureSense’s Application Programming Interface (API) enables your systems and software to talk with ours. For those of us who are less technically minded it is easiest to visualise an API in 2 ways:

Firstly it is a Doorway which only people with the right key can pass. This key is unique and specifies exactly what data can be accessed; thus ensuring the integrity of your contracts and the systems involved.

Secondly it establishes a Common Language that allows your systems to talk to ours and most importantly to understand each other and share things.

The primary advantage of setting up an API is that it allows the seamless integration of signaturesense material into your existing and future systems. As an example, it could allow you to have the relevant contract and key dates available within your customer management database. This avoids the need for jumping between systems or the headache of version controlling multiple copies.

API’s are available on our Standard and Enterprise Plans. If your company is interested in setting up an API or you just want to know more about this functionality please see our API FAQs or contact: support@signaturesense.com.

The Recruitment Industry is Fast Benefiting from the Cloud Computing Phenomenon

The growth in Cloud Computing has been termed as ‘phenomenal’ and is predicted to be an $8.1bn dollar shift in the computing by 2013, as home and workspace merge.  This computing paradigm is proving that businesses can do things better, cheaper and faster and allows things to be done that originally would not have been without it.

Industries of all size are recognising the value proposition that comes with “Cloud” computing such as vast savings in bandwidth costs, provision of total flexibility, scalability as well as energy efficiency and economies of scale. The Recruitment industry is now coming to terms with the growing importance of Cloud computing.

In essence Cloud computing is IT-as-a-Service. Instead of building your own IT infrastructure to host databases or systems for internal processes, a third party provides all this in its large server farms. Companies have access to its data and processes over the internet (which in most IT diagrams is shown as a cloud).

In a recent article the Chief Executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) was quoted saying “Those that modify their business practices first are likely to be best placed to win more business”.  SignatureSense.com,  which streamlines the process of sending and signing contracts online, is a good example of a “Cloud” solution that is greatly benefiting the recruitment industry. Agencies and Umbrella Payee companies using the system have drastically increased the speed of contract turnaround whilst simultaneously reducing administration time and costs.

The recruitment industry is a dynamic industry with fast changing business models and in a competitive market – using Cloud solutions such as SignatureSense.com will allow companies in this industry come to terms with the far-reaching implications of the latest technological advances.

White-Labelling and XML API Coming Soon

We’ve been coding away to bring you new features so here is a quick heads-up on what we’ve been working on.

Brand SignatureSense as your own

We now support (currently in beta) the means for your company’s branding to appear on SignatureSense.  The web-app and the emails it sends can look as-if seamlessly part of your own website.  This applies to your staff users and also your end signatories.   A great way to impress your clients and suppliers.

In the future  ’white-labelling’ will be offered at a small additional cost, however we currently are looking for a few ‘early-adopters’ who are keen to try out this feature… so get in touch.

Launching our API

Your own systems / websites can now ‘talk’ to your SignatureSense account automatically via our API.  The framework is complete and basic features have been implemented.  We are now talking to interested clients to help craft the evolution of our API.  If this is something that your company could use then we’d love to hear from you at this early stage.
